We are a Medicare Licensed Provider to ensure you'll be able to utilize your Medicare benefits.
If you meet the right conditions, Medicare will cover in-home and/or in-center physical therapy, speech-language therapy, and occupational therapy for as long as your doctor says you need it. They define those areas as follows:
1. Physical therapy includes exercise to regain movement and strength, endurance, balance or help with your pain. It also covers evaluations for and instructions in the use of special equipment like braces, walkers and canes, wheelchairs and artificial limbs. The goal is to improve your overall level of function and to regain lost functions through therapy.
2. Speech-language therapy (pathology services) includes exercise to regain and strengthen speech skills as well as swallowing.
3. Occupational therapy includes exercise to help you do usual daily activities by yourself. You might learn new ways to eat, put on clothes, comb your hair, and perform other usual daily activities. You may continue to receive occupational therapy if ordered by your doctor even if you no longer need other skilled care.
