Rehabilitation Consultants, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Karen O’Neill, DPT, to our highly trained, caring staff of physical therapists. As a skilled and compassionate Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), her talents will help RCI continue to provide the highest quality and most compassionate physical therapy services for the Wilmington, Delaware community.
Karen earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware in Exercise and Sports Science with a Minor in Exercise Physiology. She earned her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA.
Karen was honored for her work at Drexel University receiving the distinguished “Drexel University Clinical and Academic Achievement Award in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy.”
In addition, Karen was awarded the Physical Therapy Dean’s Scholarship while at Drexel University.
In her Capstone Project, entitled "Get Moving: A Health Promotion Feasibility Study," Karen and her colleagues designed and implemented an urban physical fitness program for children ages 5 to 12 years old. Other components of the Capstone Project including education children on health and wellness topics such as the heart and the skeletal system, teaching children the importance of exercise and motivating them to become more active and make healthy choices.
