LSVT BIG Program for individuals with Parkinson's Disease is now available at Rehabilitation Consultants, Inc.
Here at RCI we're all about providing the best possible care to our patients here in Delaware and we're happy to announce a new certification and service offering that will enable us to reach out and help patients with Parkinson's Disease.
According to NINDS, about 50,000 Americans are diagnosed with PD each year. RCI and Physiotherapy Associates are very excited to have this internationally recognized Parkinson’s Disease treatment program now available in our North Wilmington, Concord Plaza Outpatient Center. Robert Catalano, MA PT, Cert MDT, has recently become one of the few certified practitioners of the LVST protocol in our area.
The LSVT BIG treatment approach is a proven therapeutic intervention utilizing exercise movement patterns, designed specifically to enhance function in individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. The program is open to individuals of all ages and all stages of Parkinson’s disease. Therapists certified in the LSVT BIG Treatment Program conduct the hour long, one-on-one sessions up to four times per week, in conjunction with a home exercise program.
