Speech therapy for adults
To improve communication in adults, our speech and language pathologist treats diagnoses such as:
- CVA (Stroke)
- Voice Disorders (i.e. vocal nodules, Parkinson's, etc.)
- Speech disorders (i.e. apraxia - a motor speech disorder; dysarthria - muscle weakness that impacts the speech)
- Memory Problems
- Head Injury

Speech therapy for children
To improve communication in children, our speech and language pathologist can help to:
- Increase articulation skills - Do you know a know a child who has difficulty producing specific sounds or cannot be understood when he or she speaks?
- Increase language skills - Do you know a child who seems to have difficulty understanding, has a minimal vocabulary, is not speaking at age level or has difficulty following directions or answering questions?
- Improve fluency - Do you know a child who has difficulty expressing him or herself because he or she is stuttering?
- Increase auditory-perceptual skills - Do you know a child who has difficulty remembering a series of numbers or words, has trouble recalling all of the steps in directions, cannot discriminate words (i.e. pen/pin) or has trouble responding to reasoning questions?
